Scandinavian Style Wedding at Gjesvold Farm

This wedding turned out to be a real dream. I didn’t realize that this wonderful couple had put so much effort into making the wedding as awesome as it turned out! I loved everything from the hotel prep session to the humanitarian barn ceremony and the honesty and raw emotions expressed, the details with milk jars and straws, and the hilarious end of dinner speech – I just couldn’t hold my tears back! Which says a lot as I average 200 speeches a year. You heard right – I had to count again after calculating this, but it’s matter of fact! Norwegian tradition is on average 8-12 speeches a wedding.

I loved the Scandinavian style wedding details, everything from the bride’s flower crown to the scrabble tile place cards and guest specific milk bottles to fill with whatever they liked. Oh, and home brewed wedding beer! I never got to tasting it, but I’m sure it was as awesome as it looked.

What I also got to experience was this couple’s unique love for each other, and their accumulated strength going through so much together in their young lives. I’m honoured and proud I was there to document their wedding day.

“Going through the pictures from our day feels like experiencing everything over again! Honestly we couldn’t be happier! We’re so glad we chose you to document our day, and all the moments that came with it. Thank you.”

Best Memories of Our Wedding Day

Oh, there are so many! The incredible atmosphere that were there the entireity of our day. Our barn ceremony. The personal and hilarious speeches.

Our Honeymoon

We couldn’t go straight after our wedding, but we’ve booked a trip to the Maldives, and we’re super excited to go later this year when all is dark and cold at home.
