Who would’ve thought that a May wedding in Scotland could equal sun, 20 degrees celcius, palm trees, a beach and an outdoor wedding ceremony? Big congrats and the very best of wishes goes to Laura + Gavin and their wee boy Cameron.
A complete wedding dream – Laura + Gavin couldn’t have asked for more.
Since the weather was so nice, the humanist ceremony this day was held outside on the Waterside Hotel premises with an amazing view over the beach, and all the way to Isle of Arran you can spot on some of the photos, all the way in the distance. After the couple literally tied the knot, we headed for the beach for some pretty harsh sunlight photos, but luckily since the day was young and I was their full day photographer, we could also soak up the evening sun later on that day.
I truly enjoyed this wedding, and I’m so grateful that my wedding adventure in Scotland (at least my very own gig, not second shooting) started with these two in such beautiful surroundings. Thank you so much for letting me be your photographer and I hope you enjoy you photographs!
A big, big thank you + lots of hugs goes to my crazy second shooter Ewa Labuda who willingly drove me all the way from Edinburgh to West Kilbride for this gig. You’re a star!
The next few weeks will be packet with wedding photography, both my own gigs and second shooting for some other talented Scottish photographers. Last weekend, I also shot together with Julie Tinton in Dalhousie Castle, and the week before that with Liana Mitrea in Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh. I’ll be travelling to Norway for four weddings, and staying in Glasgow for one. Things are getting pretty exciting, and I can’t wait to see where this journey will take me.
I also have some exciting personal projects going on, even though I’m not quite sure how to fit all this in while working full time. But here goes!
