Silje + Joachim’s wedding in Gjøvik was absolutely lovely! Silje has an incredible eye for details, from stickers underneath her shoes, to flowers, stationery and wedding dress hanger, everything was meticulously planned to suit a proper princess and her prince.
Although the weather was frequently changing from sunny to raindrops the size of kittens, this day turned out to be just perfect. Just look at the very end for some hilarious dance floor photos – how fun does this wedding look?
They got married in Gjøvik church, and the photos were taken under the Skibladner boat house in shelter for the rain. Reception was a Pi-taket / Café Pi, above Quality Strand hotell Gjøvik with an amazing view over Mjøsa. A perfect venue for both a sunny or a rainy day – you still get to be outside, sheltered if need be.
Some wonderful vendors helped make this day as beautiful as could be, amongst them the talented Hair/Makeup artist Linn from LOOKS by Linn. The gorgeous flowers were from Passiflora Raufoss, and the bride wore a magnificent Morilee dress from the best of the best bridal salons in Norway, Ski Brudesalong. The groom wore a tuxedo from House of Singles.
DJ Carl Henrik from DJ Booking Norge made the dance floor a hit amongst the guests. Quality Strand Hotell Gjøvik was great as both the prep and reception venue, and we also secretly snuck up on the roof (shhh!) for a few photos during dinner. I won’t let you know how I acquired the keys!
Have a look at this wedding day in photographs below. Sorry for the amount of photos, but how hard can it be to choose a representative lot?!
