A Fairytale at The Scotch Malt Whisky Society

August 3, 2017

Katie and Ross made their own unique timeline for their perfect wedding day! A first look in a private garden, followed by a wonderful, intimate humanist ceremony at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society on Queen Street in Edinburgh’s New Town, a wedding breakfast with their nearest family, and a drinks reception at Marlin’s Wynd in Old Town.

“Live a balanced life – Learn some and think some. And draw and paint and sing and dance. And play and work everyday some. Take a nap every afternoon. When you go out into the world, Watch out for traffic, Hold hands and stick together. Be aware of wonder.” – From All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten by Robert Fulghum

Along with all the love and emotion, were some personal touches from Lord of The Rings and Disney. See if you can spot them in the pictures below. And regarding the pictures, I can only apologise for the amount in this preview – it was simply impossible to narrow it down further! I love each and every one of them, and hope you do too.

A shoutout goes to the amazing vendors; Wedding dress by Heidi Hudson, bridal Disney Princess ballerinas by Irregular Choice, dry flower bouquet by Florence and Flowers, wedding cake by Marks & Spencer, live music by Double Scotch Ceilidh Band, and favours by Dreams in Driftwood. Lovely, personal ceremony led by celebrant Marnie Roadburg. Adorable reading “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten” by Robert Fulghum.
