First Look, Fairy-Lights and a Egyptian-Norwegian Love Story in Cairo

I’m so excited to share Carol + Andrè’s wedding in Cairo with you! We celebrated their love poolside at a gorgeous private estate, with oodles of fairy-lights and lots of luscious details. This wedding was so much fun to attend and an absolute pleasure to photograph, despite it being one of the hottest days Cairo saw in July.

I could not have done this wedding without the company and talent of Maxeen Kim Photography. She co-shot the entire wedding with me, and gave me some amazing frames to supply the final gallery.

Carol and Andrè’s wedding in Cairo feel a little bit extra special to me. Not only did I get to know them from a while back when we had an engagement shoot in Oslo, get updates as their planning rolled along and beautiful stationery in the mail – but I got to know their awesome friends and family over the course of three days as we joined in a Cairo tour, girls night and rehearsal dinner before the big day. More on this later, once my scans are back from the film lab.

I’m incredibly grateful for the adventure to Cairo, and send lots of love to Carol, Andrè, their friends and family. I can only dream of more adventures like this to come in the future. I hope you enjoy your wedding story!

A shoutout to essential vendors and venues:  Wedding dress by Maggie Sottero, from Brudehimmelen, and bridal shoes from Benjamin Adams. Groom sported an Armani shirt and suit from Concrete. Preparations were located at our hotel, Radisson Blu Hotel Cairo with make-up artist Youna. Ceremony was held at Heliopolis Evangelical Church, followed by a beautiful marquee and fairy-light reception at Plein Air. Reception stationery and favours came from Antopola, and bespoke gold-foiled invitation suite from Minted. Wedding cake from Les Dames.
