I’m originally from Norway, and I love travelling there for weddings. Nothing can compare to Norway when you’re talking winter weddings. Kjersti and Amund married in a wine cellar at a snowy mountain in Oslo, what more can you ask? An urban, awesome couple with the best style and the lovlies personalities, you say? This is it!
I’m so happy Rachel & Neale booked me for their fabulous city wedding in Edinburgh this fall. The wedding was very stylish, retro and full of DIY details – and even the bouquet was made by the bride! I love the slightly darker, cooler feel from this November wedding in Lothian Chambers and The Caves.
Ok, so DIY reached an entirely new dimension in this Norwegian farm wedding! To mention a few things, the bride designed and sowed all bridesmaid’s dresses, picked berries from their own garden for wine, grew the salad leaves, and gathered field flowers from a nearby field for the bouquets. The groom hunted the moose they served, and brewed the beer, and made sitting groups out of straw from their own fields.
Meghan + Michael got married on a not surprisingly rainy Friday in the stunning Glasgow University Chapel with reception at Dalziel Park. However, rain has never stopped either me or my brides and grooms from still having the perfect wedding day.
Silje + Joachim’s wedding in Gjøvik was absolutely lovely! Silje has an incredible eye for details, from stickers underneath her shoes, to flowers, stationery and wedding dress hanger, everything was meticulously planned to suit a proper princess and her prince.
Who would’ve thought that a May wedding in Scotland could equal sun, 20 degrees celcius, palm trees, a beach and an outdoor wedding ceremony? Big congrats and the very best of wishes goes to Laura + Gavin and their wee boy Cameron.
I just LOVE it when I go through images from a wedding and they are just bursting with feelings and happy people. This just happened with the wedding of Lisa and Eivind in Bergen and at Legenes Hus – such an emotional day full of beauty, love and intelligence. I couldn’t ask for more!
This elegant wedding was my last of the 2015 season, and this time I was a guest too! The groom is a childhood friend of mine, and we even grew up on the same street and went on tons of wonderful hiking trips together with friends in the Norwegian mountains, or just chatting on our way home from school. The bride and groom are both talented musicians, and they played in me and my husbands wedding band in 2012. The following photos is my way of saying thank you!
I was so excited to finally do an urban wedding! The 2015 wedding season has been everywhere around Gjøvik, my recent countryside hometown, where lakes and forests dominate the landscape. This October wedding was in the heart of Oslo, and the extremely sporty couple had their wedding in Gamle Aker Church, photo shoot at St. Hans-haugen, and reception at a sports stadium, Bislett. What fun!
This day was packed with elegance and pretty shiny details. I loved capturing Lisa and Tor Kristian’s big day in Gjøvik and at Sigstad Gård. The shoot we did at Mustad Næringspark was great, but I just loved that we had a few minutes to photograph later in the evening, during the golden hour. Even though we didn’t have much time, and the skies were cloudy, we managed to get some golden moments.
