After a short immediate family shoot, Tyler and Steven followed me for some photos around the city centre, until they went to get marriet at Augustine United Church, continued by their reception in Greyfriars Kirk, just a stonethrow away.
I’m so happy Rachel & Neale booked me for their fabulous city wedding in Edinburgh this fall. The wedding was very stylish, retro and full of DIY details – and even the bouquet was made by the bride! I love the slightly darker, cooler feel from this November wedding in Lothian Chambers and The Caves.
I love using Edinburgh as a backdrop for photoshoots. This historical, beautiful and diverse city is just something else! We started off close to sunset on a cold November day, near Grassmarket in Edinburgh and ventured up to the Royal Mile with a few stops along the way. Edinburgh’s streets and closes are just stunning.
You can never be fully prepared for family photography, especially photographing children – they’re all so different, and that’s what makes it fun. Sometimes they’re shy. Sometimes not! Like this little fellow, all energetic and ready to go. George was an amazing model for the camera – and I was running to keep up with him!
Finally – I’ve had my first shoot in wonderful Scotland! Super talented Maighread Simpson and her husband posed for me in Holyrood Park a delightfully golden afternoon. It was a rare kind of weather that day, but super windy and freezing. They put up with it, and the images turned out gorgeous. Mostly because these two are super beautiful! But I can’t help giving the light some credit. This time I also opted for a bit different style in my editing, just for fun.
Behold, for I am rebranding, moving, repurposing my business. In another country. I’m relocating from Gjøvik, Norway to Edinburgh, Scotland. Come with me on my adventure on this brand new blog, with my brand new message, look and approach. Branding and logo to follow.
This sudden change calls for desperate measures. I, a creative soul who hasn’t yet figured out what to become when I grow up, needs to continue with that in a brand new city. I’m 26 and still feel there’s just got to be more. So where is this taking me?
