Do you think it’s impossible to plan a wedding in only three months? Here’s proof that it’s possible, as Holly and Rob got engaged late December and got in touch in January to book me for their March wedding at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh. It was a rainy wedding day, but that didn’t matter much as the surroundings in the botanic gardens are beautiful and the light, bright Caledonian Hall is perfectly lit for speeces, party and dancing. Rob is military and had organised a guard of honour for after the ceremony. We had a total of 10 minutes for their couple shoot in pouring rain though, but still we managed to get som vibrant, natural photos outside (albeit under an umbrella for most of the time). I was soaking after group shots, but it’s no big deal! No-one seemed affected by the rain, and it was such a nice day regardless.
Are you planning a wedding at the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh? It’s such a beautiful venue, and they even offer the possibility of an outdoor ceremony. I have a couple of weddings booked there next year and can’t wait to be back. However, if you want an engagement shoot there, or want to take photos inside the greenhouses you will need a permit and apply for it weeks in advance!
Anyways, here’s their wedding day in the Botanic Gardens, and if you like, please watch the slideshow above for many more photos!
