Real wedding at a blank canvas wedding venue

July 10, 2019

I absolutely LOVE blank canvas wedding venues! What I mean by that, is a venue where you have absolute freedom with decoration, catering and licensing to make your day truly unique. Of course, it can require some extra planning as there will often not be an on-site coordinator. That is, unless you hire a professional, such as Magnolia Bride who were responsible for decoration and timeline for the day.

I’m so grateful for my time in the USA for Jordan and Paul’s wedding. I fondly look back at the heat, although it felt a bit unbearable at the time! So much beauty, love and THE most epic dancefloor of all times! Have a look at the slideshow below to see how epic it was.

By the way, did you follow my journey to the USA while I was on this trip? I made an Instagram story about my trip there as I visitied New York and New Orleans on my way. You can watch the highlight here.

There are blank canvas wedding venues in Scotland, too!

I actually photographed this wedding in Biloxi, Mississippi, but I know a few similar venues in Scotland, such as The Coo’s Cathedral, Killearn Village Hall, or have your wedding at Summerhall in Edinburgh or the City Halls in Glasgow. A lot of barn venues are also very moldable, such as this one I did at Pratis Farm. Below is a video from the day – there’s so much more you can fit in a video than in a blogpost, and I always just share the very best snaps from the day in a blogpost to make it pretty (guitly), but in the slideshow I include many more of the candid style photos to make it a fun watch for my couples. Have a peek if you like!
