Real wedding at Neidpath Castle, Peebles

July 21, 2019

I had such an amazing and fun day at Neidpath Castle with Ashley and Marco! They had planned almost everything from abroad (they live in Amsterdam). Including some wonderful details that made their day unique. Ashley (Scottish) surprised Marco (Dutch) with handmade, custom wooden clogs to represent a dutch tradition, and jazzed them up with sequin socks! In addition, this was Marco’s first time wearing a Scottish kilt.

One of my favourite images from this wedding is the one from Neidpath Castle landing where Marco’s kilt and Ashleys clogs are featured in some lush window light.

Most importantly, Ashley and Marco had emphasis on amazing food and a fun party for all. The food was supplied by The Pantry Events, and they never disappoint. Mouth watering halloumi fries and sharing platters were on the menu, followed by night grub in their tuk truck.

When we met Inga for the first time she described herself as the ‘photography ninja’ and she didn’t disappoint. She felt like a friend we’d known for years and was always quick to reply to emails which was so important to us planning our wedding from abroad. She is professional, creative and a lovely addition to any wedding.

I’ve added a list of some crucial suppliers at the end of this post. However please notice Ashley’s amazing wedding dress while scrolling down! Her dress was a three piece with bralette, slip dress and a detatchable ball gown skirt for the party later on.

These photos were also published on Love My Dress!

As always, here’s a list of suppliers responsible for making this day at Neidpath Castle happen!

I’d love to be back at Neidpath Castle! If you’re looking for other venue inspiration, why not have a look at my recommended venues page or my favourite venues of 2018 blogpost?
