Most people don’t like their photos taken. If you can relate you may wonder if you should bother with an engagement shoot or pre-wedding shoot. For that exact reason, a pre-wedding shoot can be a game-changer.

You’ll feel more relaxed on your wedding day
A pre-wedding shoot with me is fun and relaxed, and won’t be awkward or forced! It’s a really good way to give you and idea of how it feels to be in front of the camera. Maybe it’s just what you need in order to get wedding photos of yourself that you’ll really love?

You’ll get a gorgeous set of photographs of yourself in a casual setting
In addition to feeling more relaxed on the day, you’ll get a set of gorgeous photographs in a casual setting to use for wedding stationery and to use for all other things that’s not wedding related. I can’t stress how important that is, and how many clients have said that they’re grateful to have those photos in addition to their wedding photos.

It has a huge impact on the flow of your wedding day
Most importantly, having an engagement shoot can have a huge impact on the flow of your wedding day. I will arrive at your venue already knowing how you interact as a couple and how to best photograph you. This leaves room for more variety and more time to enjoy your wedding day.
When to book your pre-wedding shoot
If you’re up for it, just let me know as soon as possible! That way we can find the perfect day for you, in your favourite season. I’ll also have plenty of time to research cool locations and plan something unique for you. I’m usually quite busy during peak wedding season from May to September, but during weekdays I should be able to find some time.
If you’ve booked your wedding a year in advance or more, try to schedule your engagement shoot in the slow season between October and April especially if you want to do it on a Sunday. Evenings are best because of the softness of evening light starting at around two-three hours before sunset. Additionally I welcome pre-shoot booking short-notice for weekday evenings. However, short-notice means I’ll have less time for planning ahead.
